This silver is composed of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. It is this combination of silver and copper that gives the material the necessary strength for making these earrings. Furthermore, its little brother is available in vermeil. This is 925 silver plated with a minimum thickness of 3 microns of gold. For those interested, this method is called electroplating.
